Certification Qualifications

In order for an automotive collision repair facility to be a Certified Member of the AutoBody Alliance network they must meet the following requirements, as well as agree to the membership terms and conditions of the program

Initial Conact

Facility will contact vehicle owners within 24 hours of new assignment

Parking Area

Facility will have a convenient, marked, customer parking area.

Restrooms

Facilities will have restrooms available for customer use.

Reception Area

Facility will provide a clean and comfortable customer reception and waiting area

Key Required Repair Services

Paint Booths

Each facility will have a paint booth that meets or exceeds local, State, and Federal guidelines.

Refrigerant

Facility is able to recover/recycle R-134a refrigerant in accordance with best practices.

Alignment

Facility will have the ability to perform a 4-wheel alignment in house or through a sublet provider.

Safety Restraint Systems

Provider can Service Safety Restraint Systems (SRS) in house or through a sublet provider.

Frame Repairs

Each facility must be able to perform frame repairs (with measurements) to return vehicle to original manufacturer's specifications or via sublet.

Electrical & Mechanical

The ability to replace electrical and mechanical components in-house or through a sublet provider

Facility Insurance

Each Facility must have General Liability insurance with limits not less than $1M for each occurrence/combined single limit for property damage, bodily injury and personal injury

Insurance Criteria

Each facility must have Garage Keepers legal liability coverage with limits of not less than $100,000 for each occurrence.

Must be able to email, provide digital photos, and upload estimates either via the ABA Shop portal

Additional Requirements

Written lifetime warranty

Facility must provide a written lifetime warranty on all repairs as long as the customer owns the vehicle

Customer authorization

Facility must obtain customer authorization for all repairs performed, supplements, and final bill

Shop Information

All provided shop information is granted for use by AutoBody Alliance to power search and Dispatch functionality.

Fee

There is currently no fee for membership in the AutoBody Alliance DRP. This is provided as a value added service by Quality Claims Solutions to assist our Insurance Clients in the current economic atmosphere.
